Writing, drawing and writing again

What a busy life this is. I wonder if anyone will bother reading my blog? Hmm... we'll see :-) A few months ago I found a pile of art journals from my school days in the attic. Looking at all the patterns I drew back in the 70’s, I started redrawing them all. Examining this huge collection the idea came to mind that it would be nice to share it with the rest of the Tangle Community, along with my experiences. It didn’t take long to realise that patterns like Bales, Knightsbridge etc. have been named already. Some patterns even have multiple names. That’s when I started contacting people to ask for permission to include their pattern in the book. The idea developed into a large scale project! Writing this book also gives me the chance to bring the opportunity to have artwork displayed in a printed book, to the artists. So, this is an exciting project; a HUGE project! Eventually I will post all the patterns I developed on this blog. Until then I will share a few of my tangles.
This Sego Lily is a pattern by LeeAnn Denzer. I used Copic Markers and Chameleon pens for the colour. The shading is done with a pencil and smudged with a fine brush - not a blending stump! I am also a big fan of Helen Williams. Her patterns flow out of my pen as if they have a mind of their own. Again, I used Chameleon pens for colouring.
The pattern is called Twirl.
